Thursday Doors: Bulgaria

This is the gate to an inner courtyard along one of the winding, narrow lanes of Arbanasi, Bulgaria. Most of the buildings in the historic centre of this small village are brick, wood and tile, like this gate. It’s a great place to stroll. For Norm’s Thursday Doors

Great doors here! I was once (my hubby more times) in the capital, and I still remember the food – the way they prepare the meat is delicious! Since that was during the 80ties, am curious how things have changed!

It’s hard to get the place out of your mind, once you’ve been there, true. And we also had some truly delicious meals there, stroganoff-style included. Thank you for visiting, and leaving your comment. (Apologies for the delay in responding!)

Great pictures from Arbansi. I have visited the village in June, on a car trip from Romania, and really loved to spend a few hours on the streets of the village and to the nice restaurants. There was also a great view over the beautiful medieval town of Veliko Tarnovo, which we also visited.

Have you been to Veliko Tarnovo too?

I am preparing an article myself about our tour in Bulgaria, would love if you would check out my blog as well, and maybe follow back.
