#A to Z: Kayaking

That’s a beach stop on a paddle around Catalina Island off Los Angeles, one of the kayak trips I’ve made while travelling. It’s a fantastic way to absorb a destination, whether it’s on a river, a canal, the ocean or a lake.

Kayaking is part of daily life where I live on Georgian Bay in Canada, but some of the most memorable moments have been while travelling. My favourite was in Alaska, on a glacier carved lake near Skagway, buzzed by eagles while we paddled as a family.
